Reconnecting Divided Communities
What if a small strip of land could reconnect a neighborhood? That’s the vision behind The Node Project, Adair Park Today’s initiative to transform the dangerous train crossing near Adair Park II into a safe, bike- and pedestrian-friendly gateway to MARTA, the BeltLine, and West End.
With community-driven design, we’re proposing:
- Raised, protected crosswalks with rumble strips
- Bollard-guarded green bike lanes
- Stop signs and signage with clear pedestrian priority
- A revamped park entrance that welcomes walkers, cyclists, and strollers alike
Combined with grant efforts like Park Pride and Safe Routes to School, The Node is about transforming a liability into a landmark.
